ABOUT THE PLAY
The Sound of Shadows is a moving and poignant story about resilience, connection, and the search for belonging in the most unexpected places.

A story of resilience and belonging
Set within a struggling urban environment, the play follows Ethan, a young boy navigating a life shaped by uncertainty, and Gabriel, a guarded and homeless veteran whose past has left him disconnected from the world around him. As their lives intertwine, their evolving bond challenges how they perceive trust, care, and personal transformation. Through their poignant journey, the production asks whether a sense of home and family is something we are given—or something we courageously create.

Inspired by our neighbors across the street
Living across the street from My Brother's Table in the very neighborhood where I grew up, I frequently stop and speak with the homeless individuals who face hardship every single day. Their dignity and strength inspired this work. This production is rooted in a personal desire and responsibility to offer hope, raise awareness, and directly support the life-saving meals and community services provided by our local food pantry.

Brought to life by selfless dedication
This entire production is brought to life by a team of talented, selfless, and loving friends volunteering their time and artistry. None of our actors or crew members joined for resume credits or accolades; they committed to this journey purely because of the tangible good it brings to those who need it most. Every rehearsal and performance is an act of shared community love aimed at reaching our $10,000 fundraising goal.
"You noticed me and said hello. That is all that many of us ask for."
A reminder that every life has a past, present, and future—and no life is less important than another
